Race #3 (6/28) was rained out. It will be rescheduled to later this year. We will apply the OPDS race fee you paid at Race #3 to the fee for the next OPDS race you attend. Please keep your Mason Dixon tech card (if you did not get a chance to tech) or the tech card tear-off (if you did tech) to take advantage of any Mason Dixon raincheck policy.

The OPDS class structure is changing for the '09 season. At today's awards banquet, we had an overwhelming vote (21 for, 2 against) from the racers in attendance to change to an ET based class breakdown. The Warrior class is now made up of cars that can run in the 11.99 and lower range, while "Class II" is for cars falling into the 12.00 and up range. The name for "Class II" has not been determined but will be announced here at a latter date. The RULES, GENERAL GUIDELINES and CLASS pages have been updated but have not been finalized yet. All are subject to change prior to the 1st race.

This coming Sunday, Oct 26, is a special race for us. We are putting up an extra $1500.00 for the payouts for this race in celebration of our 10th season. Also, at this race, we are happy to announce that John & Tina Gaydosh will be bringing out the NHRA Pro Stock GTO for the last passes of the season. They are coming out to support our series and will be making two exhibition runs as part of this event. Here is your chance to see the P/S Firebird up-close.

The operation of the “Outlaw Pontiac Drag Series” has now been organized under the legal name of “OPDS Management LLC”. The race series is still named the “Outlaw Pontiac Drag Series”. The logo is the same. The people running the series are the same. The only difference that will affect anyone is that all monetary checks must be made out to “OPDS Management LLC”. Do not make checks out to any of the managers. I will be mailing out announcements to our sponsors & vendors during the month of October. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to see me at a race or email me.
